International Student Intake for Academic Year 2026–2027

The International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) is pleased to announce that applications for international students for the Academic Year 2026–2027 are now officially open.

  1. Admission Requirements

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Academic Qualification

  • High school graduation or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum GPA: 2.5/4.0 or equivalent international grading scale

English Language Proficiency

Applicants from non-English-speaking countries should provide one of the following:

  • IELTS 5.5 or above
  • TOEFL iBT equivalent
  • VSTEP equivalent certification

Admission Interview

  • Successful completion of an online or onsite interview conducted by the VNU-IS Admissions Committee
  1. Application Timeline

Fall Semester: deadline June 30

Spring Semester: deadline October 30

Admission Process:

  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis
  • Interviews are scheduled after document screening
  • Admission results are normally announced within 2–3 weeks after the interview

Applicants are requested to prepare the following documents:

  • Completed International Application Form
  • Notarized and translated high school diploma and academic transcripts
  • Valid passport copy
  • Health certificate
  • Proof of financial capability (sufficient for at least one academic year)
  • English language certificate (if available)
  • Notarized Curriculum Vitae (CV)
