Research area:

– Modeling and simulation: The group focuses on researching modeling methods and building new models based on theory and experiment using machine learning models such as neural networks or gauss processes, and conduct numerical simulation to evaluate and verify the model’s suitability.

– Control theory: research, develop and propose control algorithms for objects with nonlinear models considering the uncertainty factor and algorithms that are not based on object models.

+ Some typical objects: hanging cranes, self-propelled robots, delta robots, UAVs…

+ Some common control techniques such as sliding control, backstepping, adaptive control, nonlinear control, dynamic surface control, optimal control and prediction…

+ Intelligent control methods such as adaptive control based on fuzzy logic system, neural network, reinforcement learning, iterative learning or deep learning.

– Design, manufacture and technology transfer: Cooperate with research laboratories and enterprises to design and manufacture robots for research and industrial application on a small scale with 4.0 technology orientation.

Research question:

– In the field of control theory: In control and automation systems, which stage is the heart and creates intelligence for the system? Can the construction of new and intelligent control algorithms meet the requirements of increasingly high control quality, control of complex dynamic systems and increasing uncertainty? So control engineering is the key to being able to automate the technological process and the key to Industry 4.0?

– In the field of modeling: In automatic control, modeling is necessary to design the controller? Modeling to describe objects/systems in the form of mathematical models, physical models (taking into account both kinematics and dynamics). First is to test to evaluate the model/system on it stability and response to different inputs. Next is to design/build controllers, test different algorithms, with these models have support tools like matlab/simulink for modeling and simulation? The above things can be tested/verified before being applied to real subjects, which will save time, faster academic development because we don’t always have real objects to test?

– In the field of design, manufacture and technology transfer: The testing of simulated and verified algorithms in reality helps to verify control quality, improve the control algorithms designed above before put into practice, and at the same time progress to the actual transfer?

Research question:

– In the financial field: What factors affect the business results of the enterprise? Are these factors different between businesses in Vietnam and around the world? How do economic shocks affect the behavior of investors in the stock market? What is the effect of financial markets on commodity markets? How do monetary policies affect some macro factors in Vietnam and in the world?

– In the field of accounting: Is the measurement of the indicators in the financial statements appropriate, does it exist and has any impact? Is the quality of the presented accounting information guaranteed? In particular, consider this issue in Vietnam and make comparisons with other countries. What is the effect of accounting regulations on the economy?
