According to many employers, students of the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) are dynamic, agile, and well-prepared, demonstrating strong CV-writing skills and making a positive impression on recruiters.
From April 4 to 11, 2026, the International School organised the “VNU-IS Job Link Week 2026 – Career Connection Week”. Formerly known as VNU-IS Job Fair, VNU-IS Job Link is a flagship annual recruitment event of the School, designed with a professional orientation. The programme not only provides students with opportunities for direct interviews with employers but also offers fresh, practical perspectives on navigating their career paths.

A strong bridge between academia and industry
The opening ceremony marked the official launch of a week-long recruitment series. VNU-IS Job Link Week 2026 brought together more than 40 companies, including 73.8% domestic enterprises and 26.2% foreign-invested enterprises, of which approximately 19% were multinational corporations. Key partners included Vietnam Airlines, Vinpearl, Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, ACCA, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong, B.Braun Vietnam, and Panasonic Vietnam. The event attracted over 2,000 student participants.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyễn Quang Thuận, Vice Rector of the International School and Head of the Organising Committee, emphasised that the event serves as a vital bridge connecting academic knowledge with real-world professional practice. Expressing confidence in students’ potential, he highlighted that the programme would open doors and empower students to pursue their aspirations.
Strengthening university–enterprise collaboration
Representing the business community, Ms. Ngô Thị Duy Phương, Director of Training, Talent Development and Culture at Vinpearl, commended the School for organising the event. She noted that the programme effectively connects employers with students and has attracted significant student interest—reflecting the potential of the young workforce.

Diverse activities enhancing student experience
This year’s programme focused on enhancing experiential depth and real-world engagement through activities such as mock interviews, recruitment challenges, industry insight series, and networking spaces. The talkshow series featured highly practical and application-oriented discussions, with a key highlight being a forum on the impact of AI on the labour market.

Mr. Nguyễn Đức Long, CEO of AIUni, opened the session with practical insights on learning and applying AI in daily work, helping students adapt quickly to the digital skills wave. He also presented the School’s leadership and students with his co-authored book, “30-Day AI Practice Handbook”, aimed at helping learners master technology systematically.

Employers impressed by VNU-IS students
Recruiters expressed strong impressions of International School students. A representative from TopCV, a leading HR Tech company in Vietnam, noted that students demonstrated professional and high-quality CV preparation, with many candidates standing out at first glance. Representatives from SSI Securities Corporation praised students for their dynamism, proactiveness, and agility, while also commending the School’s organisation of the event.

Meanwhile, TPBank reported receiving more than 100 job applications during the event, highlighting its role in connecting academia and industry. Through such programmes, enterprises can evaluate training quality, students’ soft skills, and propose improvements to better align education with market demands.
A Flagship annual event
Over nine years of organisation—from VNU-IS Job Fair to today’s VNU-IS Job Link Week—the programme has become a key annual activity of the International School. It clearly reflects the School’s educational philosophy of closely aligning training with industry needs and actively involving enterprises in the training process.

Through the programme, 200 companies have joined the School’s recruitment network on its career portal. Notably, 90% of graduates secure employment after graduation, while 53% obtain jobs even before completing their studies—affirming the effectiveness of the School’s practice-oriented training approach.
