To strengthen connections between industry and students and provide learners with direct exposure to real working environments, on April 17 the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS), in collaboration with Swire Coca-Cola, organized a Recruitment Day exclusively for VNU-IS students.
The event not only offered valuable insights into the labor market but also created opportunities for students to apply directly for positions at the company during the program.
The event consisted of two main sessions. In the first session, representatives from Swire Coca-Cola introduced an overview of the company and shared practical experiences in preparing application documents and participating in recruitment processes. According to the company, hundreds of thousands of graduates enter the labor market every year, making competition increasingly intense.
Representatives from Swire Coca-Cola emphasized that, in addition to academic performance, employers highly value essential competencies such as teamwork, problem-solving skills, and alignment with organizational culture. As a result, preparing a clear and well-structured CV that highlights relevant achievements and experiences related to the applied position is a crucial factor in making a strong first impression on recruiters.
During the program, company representatives also shared practical advice to help students better prepare for job interviews. Applicants were encouraged to clearly understand the job requirements, research the company and its corporate culture, and carefully review their CVs to ensure the accuracy of information and figures presented.
Interview Tips from Experts
Preparing personal stories about achievements, challenges, teamwork experiences, and conflict resolution can help candidates effectively demonstrate their professional competence. Professional demeanor, punctuality, and honest communication during interviews were also highlighted as key factors appreciated by employers.
After the interview, students were advised to send a thank-you email to the recruiters, patiently wait for the results, and reflect on their interview performance in order to further improve their skills for future opportunities.
Alongside career guidance activities, Swire Coca-Cola representatives also introduced the company’s background and development. Swire Coca-Cola is currently one of the largest bottling groups within The Coca-Cola Company system. The company continuously expands its recruitment and training programs to identify and nurture young talent.
