The Digital Business programme at the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi is developed with an interdisciplinary, modern, and internationally oriented approach, aiming to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and essential skills to effectively manage and lead business activities in the digital era. In the context of a rapidly transforming global economy driven by technological advancement, the programme is designed to cultivate a generation of professionals capable of operating intelligent business models and adapting to the fast-evolving landscape of markets and technologies.

The programme focuses on key domains such as digital transformation in enterprises, data and digital customer management, e-commerce, financial technology (fintech), artificial intelligence applications in business, and innovative entrepreneurship. Students are not only provided with a solid theoretical foundation in economics and management but are also trained to develop strategic thinking, data analytics skills, the ability to design and implement digital business campaigns, and to operate technology platforms supporting business activities.

The curriculum is aligned with international standards and integrated with real-world business cases. Teaching and learning methods are flexible, emphasising experiential learning through project-based activities, business simulations, and industry collaboration. The academic staff comprises highly qualified scholars and practitioners from both domestic and international backgrounds. A number of specialised modules are delivered in English, enabling students to enhance their language proficiency and expand their global career prospects.

The Digital Business undergraduate programme is officially promulgated under Decision No. 2039/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated 17 May 2024 on the issuance of the programme and the assignment of training responsibilities.

1. Knowledge

PLO1: Apply fundamental knowledge of economics, management, business law, and information technology in academic study and digital business practice.

PLO2: Apply advanced knowledge of e-commerce, digital strategic management, digital marketing, and online consumer behaviour to analyse and solve business problems.

PLO3: Evaluate the impact of globalisation, the digital economy, Industry 4.0, and sustainable development on the digital business environment.

PLO4: Apply knowledge of big data, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and automation to enhance business efficiency.

PLO5: Analyse and propose digital business models aligned with technological trends and modern consumer behaviour.

PLO6: Integrate analytical thinking, systems thinking, and technological thinking in designing digital transformation solutions for enterprises.

2. Skills

2.1. Professional Skills

PLO7: Analyse and exploit data from information systems to support decision-making in digital enterprises.

PLO8: Design, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, digital content management, and user experience (UX).

PLO9: Develop, operate, and monitor e-commerce activities; apply enterprise management systems such as CRM and ERP in business operations.

PLO10: Coordinate and implement digital business projects involving multidisciplinary and international collaboration.

2.2. Transferable Skills

PLO11: Demonstrate professional communication, effective presentation, and negotiation skills in digital environments.

PLO12: Work effectively in teams; organise and coordinate team activities using digital platforms while applying critical thinking.

PLO13: Proficiently use office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), digital tools such as Google Workspace and Canva, and quantitative research tools (SPSS, Power BI, Tableau).

PLO14: Demonstrate English proficiency at Level 4/6 of the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework (as stipulated in Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT), including the ability to effectively use English for Digital Business purposes.

PLO15: Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and proactively update knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends.

PLO16: Identify roles, responsibilities, and professional ethics in digital business, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection.

Graduates are capable of pursuing self-directed learning and advanced research in fields such as technology, business, data analytics, and innovation.

The programme adopts advanced teaching and learning methodologies currently implemented at the International School and leading universities worldwide. These approaches aim to enhance students’ learning autonomy, self-directed study and research capabilities, foster creative thinking, and develop practical skills. At the same time, they strengthen teamwork, information searching and processing skills, as well as presentation and discussion competencies.
