With the message “One Vietnam – Three Destinations – Three Pillars – One Vision,” the cooperation program between International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS); International University – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM-IU); and the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK) – University of Danang aims to establish an academic connectivity model linking Hanoi – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City, thereby creating a highly internationalized, modern, and interconnected higher education ecosystem.

Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at VNUK.
On the morning of May 9, the “Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Workshop on Developing Priority Cooperation Plans for 2026” was held at the VNUK. The event marked a new milestone in the collaboration among the three higher education institutions, all of which share a strong commitment to internationalization and a common goal of enhancing training quality, scientific research, innovation, and the international integration capacity of Vietnamese higher education.
Attending the event were Dr. Phung Danh Thang – Acting Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh – Vice Rector; along with leaders and representatives from affiliated units of the three institutions.
Under the signed MOU, the three parties will jointly implement key initiatives, including student, faculty, and researcher exchanges; exploration of mutual credit recognition; and the development of shared courses, short-term programs, and summer schools.

The cooperation aims to create more opportunities for learners to gain interregional experiences.
One of the key orientations of the partnership is the development of the “One Vietnam – Three Academic Destinations” model, creating more opportunities for learners to gain interregional experiences and access a broader business and industry network.
The three institutions also aspire to serve as pioneering pillars in the initial development of the “Study in Vietnam” network, contributing to the promotion of Vietnam’s learning environment, academic programs, and higher education ecosystem to international learners.
In addition, strategic brand communication cooperation has been identified as one of the partnership’s major priorities, aiming to strengthen the visibility and outreach of training programs, international programs, academic and research activities, as well as enterprise engagement initiatives among the three institutions.

Strategic communication and academic cooperation are the top priorities.

Specialized working groups will also be established in the areas of training, research, internationalization, communications and admissions, and university governance.
The collaboration among VNU-IS, VNUHCM-IU and VNUK is expected to generate meaningful value for learners, lecturers, researchers, businesses, and the wider community, while also contributing to enhancing the quality, competitiveness, and international integration capacity of Vietnamese higher education in the new era.
