VNU-IS student awarded a full scholarship from Chungbuk National University


Tran Quoc Dang, a student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering at the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS), has been awarded a full scholarship to pursue a master’s program in Information and Communication Engineering at Chungbuk National University (CBNU), South Korea.

This scholarship stands as a testament to Tran Quoc Dang’s relentless efforts throughout his academic journey, scientific research, and participation in extracurricular activities. During his years at the International School, Tran Quoc Dang actively engaged in scientific research and community activities, played a key role in student clubs, and successfully completed research projects on data science and information technology applications. Notably, he was exceptionally selected as a Taskforce member for the 2024 term of the UN’s PRME Ambassador Program.

Tran Quoc Dang has been awarded a full scholarship to pursue a master’s program in Information and Communication Engineering at Chungbuk National University (CBNU), South Korea.

The PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) program, organized by the United Nations, aims to promote sustainable and responsible management education. PRME Global Students (PGS) is a global network connecting over 300 student organizations, fostering creative collaboration and collective reflection in the fields of management education and sustainable development. PGS Taskforces provide an excellent opportunity for members to apply their knowledge to global projects and make a positive impact on the world.

According to Quoc Dang, alongside his personal efforts, his success is also attributed to the dedicated guidance and support from the professors at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Their direction enabled him to engage in various real-world research projects, achieving notable results that significantly strengthened his scholarship application.

It can be said that his years at the VNU-IS helped Tran Quoc Dang grow both professional and soft skills. He actively participated in and achieved impressive results in various competitions. Furthermore, the knowledge and skills he accumulated earned him opportunities to join exchange programs such as the Temasek Foundation SCALE and ASEAN University Network AELP, enhancing his cross-cultural communication and leadership abilities.

All these experiences have laid a solid foundation for Dang’s initial success in pursuing knowledge and venturing onto the global stage with a full scholarship to Chungbuk National University, South Korea.
