The first course students of dual degree programs have been transferred to the USA and Malaysia

In January 2023, students from the first course of dual degree programs, which included the Bachelor of Science in Management, a collaboration between the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), and Keuka College, and the Bachelor of Marketing, a collaboration between the International School and HELP University, have been transferred to the United States and Malaysia to study for one semester.

14 students from the Management dual degree program had a departure on the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year.

14 students from the dual degree program in Management and 30 students from the dual degree program in Marketing are the first students from the International School to transfer to study at its partners’ campus (the 5th semester for the Management program and the 6th semester for the Marketing program). This is a fantastic chance for students to immerse themselves in a new living and study environment in another country, meet their lecturers and new friends from all over the world and connect with large corporations and multinational businesses. This is also a valuable international experience that will assist students in quickly adapting to future multicultural working environments.

Students from the dual degree program in Marketing departed to Malaysia on the 9th day of the Lunar New Year.

The International School, in particular, arranged a meeting and training program for 44 students in order to thoroughly prepare for the trip. Teachers offered advice and shared a lot of important and relevant information about the nation where they would come to study, the rules they need to know during their study at the partner school, and the skills that need to be prepared before the trip during the training program. Teachers expected that students would actively study and break the ice by mingling with teachers and friends from partner schools rather than living in a limited circle of acquaintances.

“Through the scholarship program “The HELP Xperience,” I have the opportunity to study at HELP University. I’ve learned a lot of great things and had some experience studying in Malaysia. In this exchange program, I will focus on communicating and connecting with overseas friends more to enrich my network, in addition to studying in class,” Ngoc Anh, a Marketing student, shared.

Lectures, parents and students participated in the meeting and training program before the trip.

In 2019, the President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, approved the International School’s implementation of two dual degree programs in Marketing with HELP University (Malaysia) and in Management with Keuka College (USA). These are the first international combined academic training programs offered by VNU and its international partners. Students receive two bachelor’s degrees from VNU and a partner university, as well as a curriculum taught exclusively in English. The International School and partner institutions designed and developed the curriculum framework and teaching material with extensive participation from experts and businesses, ensuring that the program is directly tied to the actual demands of the labor market. During their studies, students have the opportunity to receive a student exchange scholarship granted by a partner school.
