Ngo Thi Kim Ngan, a student majoring in Business Data Analysis at International School – Vietnam National University, has been selected to participate in the “Temasek Foundation – NUS Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking 2024” (TF-NUS LEaRN 2024) program, taking place at the National University of Singapore in Singapore from July 1 – 19, 2024.
The TF-NUS LEaRN student exchange program is organized with the purpose of cultivating leadership qualities and nurturing the next generation of Asian leaders through cultural exchange opportunities, expanding and developing a network of future young leaders. This is one of the programs that attract many interests from students. The program is expected to last in 3 weeks, with the following topics:
Week 1: Cultural exchange and the TF-LEaRN integration program at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Week 2: Leadership mindset in the current context.
Week 3: Leadership mindset and Sustainable Development in ASEAN.
Ngo Thi Kim Ngan is an active and enthusiastic student who actively participates in various student union activities together with the domestic and international student exchange programs. Kim Ngan was very surprised, delighted, and proud to receive the news of her selection to participate in the program. “This is a precious opportunity for me to cultivate my leadership qualities, improve my English communication skills, and especially to connect with future leaders from many countries. I am really looking forward to experiencing the new environment in Singapore – a country I will be visiting for the first time,” Kim Ngan expressed.
Kim Ngan majoring in Business Data Analysis shared that during the 3-week exchange program, she will focus on preparing thoroughly, continuing to cultivate her leadership skills and improve her English proficiency, particularly in communication, presentation, and public speaking, in order to confidently represent the image of an International School student in the activities. “At the same time, I will proactively learn more about the country, people, culture, history, politics, and economy of Vietnam and Singapore, as well as regional and global current affairs, so that I can contribute my ideas during the discussion activities.”
“Through this program, I hope to have the opportunity to learn from many experts, as well as connect and exchange cultures with outstanding students from different countries, and also build international friendships,” Kim Ngan said. She also hopes that the program will help her mature more, broaden her vision, and enhance her leadership abilities, so that in the future she can contribute more positively to nation-building and development.

With the advantages in academic performance, also the participation in scientific research activities, proficiency in English, and dynamism in engaging in social and organizational activities, the applications of the International School’s students to participate in international student exchange programs are often approved at a high rate. Each year, the International School usually has several students go abroad for exchange and study programs. These programs help the students gain valuable knowledge as well as soft skills, expand their network of friends, improve their foreign language abilities, and become more confident in communication. These are essential preparations that the students can take with them on their future paths to establish their careers.
