Students from the First Class of marketing dual degree successfully defend graduation theses


From April 15th to 17th, 2024, 25 students from the First Class of Marketing dual degree successfully defended their graduation theses. The Chairperson of the thesis evaluation committee was Dr. Sumathi Paramasivam, a lecturer from HELP University, Malaysia. The committee members and the secretary were lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National School of Vietnam National University.

The thesis topics were diverse and reflected the educational philosophy of the respective disciplines. The research focused on studying online shopping trends, particularly among young people on various online platforms, the challenges in marketing of low-cost airlines in Vietnam, experimental research on the intention to use public transportation in Hanoi, and more. The committee meetings were lively, with students presenting their reports and then listening to feedback and suggestions from Dr. Sumathi Paramasivam and the faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. After today’s defense sessions, the students will make revisions and improvements based on the recommendations of the professors before submitting the final version to the university.

The Bachelor’s program in Marketing dual degree is one of the first international joint training programs jointly awarded by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and partner universities abroad. In addition to receiving dual degrees from VNU and HELP University, students also have the opportunity to study entirely in English. The program framework and curriculum are designed and developed by the International School and partner universities with extended involvement from experts and businesses, ensuring its alignment with the practical needs of the job market. During their studies, students have one semester of exchange study at the partner university as well as the opportunity to receive student exchange scholarships provided by the partner university.
