The 26 most outstanding projects in such fields as economics, finance, information technology, automation, and languages, all conducted entirely in English, were selected to be presented at the conference. The reports demonstrated meticulous investment, practicality, and relevance to various training disciplines. Many intriguing research topics of social interest were highly appreciated by faculty members for their scientific significance and practical applicability. On May 12, 2024, International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi successfully held the 16th Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2023-2024 academic year.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, over 500 students registered to implement 172 research projects. After a process of screening and periodic progress reports, only projects meeting professional quality and scientific standards were approved for evaluation at the faculty level. As a result, 98 projects were qualified to be presented to the faculty-level review boards, including 43 projects in the field of Economics – Management, 45 in Applied Sciences, and 10 in Applied Linguistics. All research works were checked for duplication, with the duplication rate not exceeding 20%.

Like previous student scientific research seasons, this year, students continued to participate in a series of training sessions aimed at fostering essential research skills, such as how to select research topics, present the basic sections of a scientific research report, and prepare presentations; they also received guidance on using research-support software. This shows that the School always accompanies students on their challenging and demanding scientific research journeys. With such support, student scientific research activities have become more familiar and received enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty.

“Our group always received enthusiastic support from our instructors and staff, from selecting the topic to writing and defending it before the board. The side activities of the conference, such as the video clip competition introducing research “My Research Story” and the poster design competition, also excited the groups as they helped many people understand more about our research,” shared Quang Anh, a student in Applied Information Technology.
