Promote the cooperation with Indian universities


On January 22, 2024, the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) hosted a meeting with 8 Indian university and 01 educational business to look for the cooperative possibilities between the institutions in the coming time. The meeting led by Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Vice-Rector and representatives from the functional offices and training faculties.

At the meeting, the International School briefted introduction about its training programs, research activities, lecturer and student exchange programs and also expressed its interest in promoting cooperative activities with Indian universities to explore the potential for cooperation in research, training, and exchanges of lecturers and students in the future. After the introduction of the Indian side, the parties discussed in-depth issues such as training programs, recognition of curricula; staff and faculty exchanges; joint research; student exchange programs, internships; and co-supervision of Ph.D. students. The VNU-IS introduced its strength in organizing immersion program for oversea students. This met with the needs of Indian universities.

Currently, Indian universities are carrying out a number of student exchange programs, summer school programs and internship programs abroad each year (about 5 programs) with the participation of 15 – 20 students for each program. The parties jointly agreed to organize research activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

India is a country with a diverse culture, rich cultural heritage and profound traditional values that always evoke mystique to the international community.

India is the 7th largest country and has the 2nd largest population in the world. Located in the Northern Hemisphere, bordering Pakistan, Afghanistan, China… Today, India is making significant industrial developments and is one of the 5 countries with the most developed industry.

India has a diverse and traditional education system of 819 universities with majors in Engineering and Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology and Biology, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Paramedics, and Agriculture. Veterinary medicine, dairy technology and agriculture, Arts, commerce, science and tourism management.

It is hoped that in the coming time, the cooperation between VNU-IS and Indian universities will be fruitful and a vital strigger for the development of partnership between Vietnamese and Indian universities.
