Prof. DSc. Ho Tu Bao


In 1978, Prof. DSc. Ho Tu Bao graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology majoring in Mathematics. In 1987, he successfully defended his Doctorate in Informatics at University of Paris 6 and Doctor of Science in Informatics at the University of Paris 9 in 1998. In 1991, he was appointed Associate Professor at the Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology. In 1998, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He has research, application and teaching experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining, and more recently, data science. He worked as a professor and head of the machine learning and data mining laboratory at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) from 1993 to 2018 and emeritus professor of JAIST since April 2018. Prof. DSc. Ho Tu Bao is currently the Director of the Data Science Laboratory of the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM); Scientific Director of the John von Neumann Institute, Vietnam National University, Hochiminh; Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology; Think Tank VINASA member and DBA Program Advisor, International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Prof. DSc.  Ho Tu Bao main research area are Artificial Intelligence; Knowledge discovery and data mining and Data Analytics.

Achievements:

– Prof. DSc.  Ho Tu Bao has more than 3,000 citations on Google Scholar.

– Author of more than 100 scientific articles in international journals and journals in the database ISI/Scopus and many articles in prestigious domestic journals.
