On March 14th, 2022, International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) hosted a virtual meeting with Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), Russia.
Attending the meeting were representatives from MAI (led by Ms. Olga Pogosian, Head of International Department); representative from VNU (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of Cooperation & Development Department) and representatives from VNU-IS (Dr. Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa, Head of Office of Research & Partnership Development).
The meeting aims to advance the joint cooperation between VNU-IS and MAI on the Bachelor of Control Systems and Computer Science in Engineering program, with degree awarded by MAI. Both sides discussed in-depth the terms and articles in the Agreement for program implementation and reached mutual consent on it. VNU-IS is entrusted with conducting the formal procedures so that both parties may sign the Agreement in the coming time and the program will soon be launched in the next academic year. In addition, the parties explored a variety of new training majors and models that might benefit their collaboration in the near future.
Established in 1930, Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) is one of several major engineering higher education establishments in Moscow, Russia. Since its inception, MAI has been spearheading advances in aerospace technology both within Russia and worldwide. The university laid emphasis on laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering, specific to the demands of aerospace industry.
MAI’s reputation for a quality education, signature programs, service and affordability bring them a total of 21.000 student enrollment, with around 1.500 international students on campus.
It is hoped that in 2022, the cooperation between VNU-IS and MAI will be much more strengthen for the development and the benefits of all.
