“Participating in ‘RnD to Startup 2023’ was not my first competition experience, so I joined with quite a bit of confidence. However, this competition still brought us many interesting and practical experiences and lessons. Firstly, the most impressive experience for me was the final round venue, which had only 300 seats, yet 100 of those were filled by students from the International School who came to support us. I was truly moved and proud of this.”
Nguyên Linh and a teammate presented their project at the final round.
During the final round day, Nguyên Linh and Hữu Hoàng spent the afternoon meticulously revising every word in their catalogue and discussing over a thousand possible scenarios and questions. Despite their efforts, they didn’t achieve a high ranking. However, this did not cause Nguyên Linh to doubt himself. After the final night, they received many suggestions, new directions, and practical perspectives. This reinforced Nguyên Linh’s belief that a project that does not generate economic value is hard to sustain. Going forward, Nguyên Linh and his team plan to reconvene to analyze and consider new directions for the future, as he shared.
Four teams won the Encouragement Prize in the Competition.
Since its launch in September 2023, the “National Creative Technology Startup Idea – RnD to Startup 2023” competition attracted a large number of students, with 105 projects submitted from 35 universities across the country.
According to the organizers, this year’s competition saw startup projects featuring a variety of new solutions and technologies across multiple fields, including new material technology, environmental technology, biology, mechanical and electronic technology, and business management solutions using artificial intelligence, Big Data, IOT, and more. After over three months of competition and three rounds, the contest identified the top 8 projects for the finals. The organizers awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, and 4 encouragement prizes. In addition to certificates and cash prizes, the first and second prize-winning teams will also participate in a one-week startup training program in Singapore.
Congratulations to Nguyễn Đoàn Nguyên Linh. Wishing you continued success in your future endeavors.
