The guest speaker, Mr. Hoàng Đức Duy, Front Office Manager of Capella Hanoi – the hotel recently awarded “Three Michelin Keys 2025”, shared valuable insights into the art of team management and human resource development in the luxury hospitality industry.

Through the theme “Global Standards, Local Heart – Building Teams for Vietnam’s Luxury Hotels”, the session provided students with in-depth and practical perspectives on how to build and lead high-performing teams in world-class hotels. Drawing from behind-the-scenes stories at one of Vietnam’s most prestigious properties, Mr. Duy emphasized that true excellence in hospitality is not only defined by architecture or room rates, but by people – those who create memorable experiences for every guest.

During the session, students explored the “art of service from the heart” and gained real-world lessons on front office management, training and motivating Gen Z staff, and sustaining passion and professional values in high-pressure environments.

The session was part of a series of experiential learning activities under the Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management program, reflecting the school’s educational philosophy: “Learning from Experience – Learning with Heart.” It also exemplifies VNU-IS’s mission to nurture a new generation of students with “Vietnamese hearts and global minds”, enabling them to learn directly from leading industry professionals and understand international standards of service excellence right here in Vietnam.
