Two VNU-IS Lecturers awarded doctoral scholarships worth VND 9 Billion at top Australian universities


Le Van Dao, MSc, and Phan Bao Trung, MSc, lecturers from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the VNU University of International Studies, have been awarded prestigious PhD scholarships from leading Australian institutions—RMIT University, the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and Edith Cowan University (ECU).

With an impressive academic profile, numerous international publications, and several ministerial-level research projects, Mr. Le Van Dao was swiftly accepted by RMIT University, which granted him a PhD scholarship worth VND 4 billion. At RMIT, he will pursue research on financial well-being, highlighting the significance of national financial capacity in the modern era.

Phan Bao Trung, MSc.

Mr. Phan Bao Trung, a beloved young lecturer known for his dedication to students, holds a bachelor’s degree from the National Economics University (Vietnam) and a master’s degree from the University of New South Wales (Australia). Driven by a desire to focus on academic research, he applied for PhD scholarships in Australia and received offers from both UTS and ECU, with a combined value exceeding VND 5 billion. He plans to devote the coming years to research and study in Australia.
