On September 3, 2025, 56 students from VNU – International School (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Nanyang Polytechnic officially embarked on a meaningful four-day cultural exchange program in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Overseas Education and Learning Programme (OELP) is an experiential learning initiative designed for Nanyang Polytechnic students, allowing them to gain deeper insights into the culture, history, and people of the places they visit.

A warm and friendly opening ceremony set a welcoming tone for the program.
In their remarks, representatives from both institutions expressed hope that students would seize this opportunity to learn, connect, and build lasting friendships. This year’s program holds special significance as it coincides with the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, leaving a strong impression on the Singaporean students.
“The first day’s activities were exciting… The Vietnamese students’ performance helped us feel closer and more connected. I’m looking forward to more wonderful experiences.”
— Tiara Lim, Nanyang Polytechnic Student
Prior to the official opening, Singaporean students visited the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Later, they explored VNPT’s business model and digital applications, followed by a lively workshop on socio-economic development led by VNU International School lecturers.

Students building bonds through shared experiences and collaborative learning.
The program has already helped students from both institutions quickly bond. In the days ahead, Singaporean students will continue their journey of discovery in Hanoi through a variety of classes and cultural exchanges. We wish them many more enriching and memorable experiences.
