Projects
- 2015: Leader of the local project “Paraphrase Identification in Vietnamese Documents”, hosted by IS-VNUH.
- 2019-2020: Leader of the VNUH project “On the research and development of an automatic question answering system about VNU Hanoi. This project focused on researching and developing a conversational question answering system targeted to answering information about the training programs, the scientific research activities and the organizational structure of VNU Hanoi. To this end, the authors built corresponding modules of the system including: the named entity recognition model, the intent detection model in the education field, the dialog management, and the natural language generation models. This information will be used in the answer extraction step to retrieve answer for each question come from users. These achievements were integrated to build a demonstration QA system working on Web-based platform
- 2020-2021: Leader of the local project “On the research and development of pre-trained models based on big amount of unlabeled data and applications of improving natural language understanding problems”. This project focused on building a language model for Vietnamese using large unlabeled data. The resulting model helps to improve the performance of many downstream NLP tasks.
- 2004-2005: Leader of the local project “A Reinforcement Learning paradigm for Vietnamese aspect based senstiment analysis”. This project focused on building an RL paradigm to solve the ABSA task. The experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method in comparison to the conventional machine learning approach.
