THE FACULTY OVERVIEW
The Faculty of Economics and Management is a specialized unit of the International University, Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU). It was established based on Decision No. 3868/QĐ-ĐHQGHN on December 1, 2021, regarding the establishment of the International School, and Decision No. 168/QĐ-ĐHQGHN on the implementation of activities of the International School from January 26, 2022, by the VNU Director. The precursor of the Faculty of Economics and Management was the Department of Social Sciences, Economics, and Management since April 26, 2004, based on Decision No. 250/QD-TCCB of the VNU Director
Throughout its development, the Faculty of Economics and Management (formerly known as the Department of Social Sciences, Economics, and Management) has consistently achieved excellence in fulfilling its training, scientific research, technology transfer, and other assigned tasks. It contributes to the realization of the International University’s mission, which is to “provide internationally accredited training, scientific research, and technology transfer based on a foundation of fundamental science, applied science, interdisciplinary science, and knowledge transfer, thereby supplying high-quality human resources and scientific and technological products that meet international standards to serve the country’s development” while building and promoting core values such as “High Quality, Creativity, Pioneer, Responsibility, and International Integration.”
Currently, the Faculty of Economics and Management is the leading unit in implementing 12 training programs accredited by VNU and partner universities abroad, including 7 undergraduate programs taught entirely in English,5 master’s degree programs, and 01 Doctor of Philosophy program. As of June 2023, the faculty consists of 40 faculty members who have received comprehensive training from highly-ranked universities worldwide.The faculty members possess deep expertise in teaching and scientific research, are passionate about their profession, and are dedicated to their students. They all have a youthful and dynamic teaching style, embodying the spirit of “working hard, playing hard.”
