On April 23, 2026, students from the Financial Technology and Digital Business (FDB) program at International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNUIS), took part in a field trip and experiential learning program at FPT Software, one of Vietnam’s leading information technology companies. The visit not only provided students with an opportunity to experience a real-world working environment but also helped them gain a deeper understanding of emerging technology trends and the evolving requirements of the labor market in the digital era.

FPT Software is a member company of FPT Corporation, specializing in software development and digital transformation services for clients around the world. With operations across multiple countries, the company has been recognized for applying advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, cloud computing, and automation to support the digital transformation of organizations and major enterprises.

From the moment they arrived at FPT Software, students were impressed by the company’s professional, modern, and dynamic working environment. More than a company tour, the visit provided an opportunity for students to gain first-hand exposure to the technology industry, where knowledge acquired in the classroom is directly applied to products and solutions serving businesses and society.

Throughout the experience, students actively took notes, asked questions, and engaged in discussions with company representatives, demonstrating their enthusiasm for learning and proactive approach to real-world experience. They learned about the process of developing technology products, from the initial idea and development stages to practical implementation, with a particular focus on applications in financial technology and digital business.

Insights from FPT Software representatives on AI, Big Data, and digital transformation trends gave students a clearer perspective on the rapid development of the technology sector. At the same time, the discussions offered valuable insights into the demand for talent, technical expertise, and the mindset that companies are seeking among the next generation of professionals.

Alongside the professional activities, students also had the opportunity to explore FPT Software’s modern workplace and employee facilities. In particular, they experienced amenities such as the gym, table tennis area, and relaxation spaces designed for employees after working hours. These experiences gave students a deeper understanding of FPT Software’s corporate culture, an environment that values not only professional performance but also employees’ physical and mental well-being.

Through the visit, students gained a broader understanding that working in a modern technology environment requires more than strong professional knowledge. At the conclusion of the program, representatives of VNUIS presented a small gift to express their sincere appreciation to FPT Software for its warm welcome and valuable insights shared with the students. Faculty members and students also captured memorable moments together at Hola Park, FPT Software’s green, modern, and inspiring workplace.

The visit left students with more than an impression of advanced technology and a professional working environment. The hands-on experience and career perspectives shared throughout the program helped inspire students to strengthen their academic knowledge, develop relevant skills, and prepare themselves for future careers in Financial Technology and Digital Business.
