Bridging the Gap Between Academic Learning and Practice: VNUIS Students Experience the Software Industry at BRAVO’s Tour 2026

More than just a company visit, BRAVO’s Tour 2026 offered students at International School , Vietnam National University, Hanoi ((VNU-IS), a valuable hands-on experience that brought them closer to the professional working environment of the software industry — one of the key sectors driving the ongoing digital transformation.

On April 16, 2026, BRAVO Software Joint Stock Company – Hanoi Office welcomed VNUIS students for a company visit, networking session, and experiential learning program. As part of the BRAVO’s Tour 2026 series, the event is regularly organized to strengthen collaboration between universities and businesses while providing students with opportunities to gain first-hand exposure to the workplace while they are still pursuing their studies.
The program was designed to give students a comprehensive and practical perspective on the working environment in the software industry. Through the experience, students gained a better understanding of current recruitment needs and expectations while having an opportunity to gain greater clarity about their own career pathways and the skills they need to develop to meet the demands of the future labor market.

A highlight of this edition of BRAVO’s Tour was a diverse range of experiential activities, organized across morning and afternoon sessions to provide opportunities for a large number of students to participate. During the program, students were introduced to BRAVO, including its ecosystem of products and services, development strategy, corporate culture, as well as employment and internship opportunities for recent graduates and young professionals.
The program became even more engaging with interactive mini-games, allowing students to learn while having fun and absorb information in a natural and memorable way. In particular, the direct networking and Q&A session with experienced BRAVO professionals provided valuable practical insights, giving students the opportunity to openly ask questions about job responsibilities, professional requirements, career development pathways, and common challenges in the industry.
Alongside the professional discussions, students also had the opportunity to tour BRAVO’s actual working and employee activity areas. This first-hand experience gave them a clearer sense of a professional and dynamic workplace, as well as the company’s distinctive corporate culture and aspects that can be difficult to fully understand through classroom learning alone.

Through direct observation, students gained a more concrete understanding of workplace processes, cross-functional collaboration, and the standards that companies expect from their employees. These insights also provided a basis for students to reflect on their own capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and develop more appropriate plans for their studies and personal development.
The visit not only provided valuable practical knowledge but also encouraged students to rethink how they prepare for their future careers. Direct interaction with the company and conversations with professionals currently working in the industry helped students better understand the gap between theory and practice, empowering them to take a more proactive approach to bridging that gap.

BRAVO’s Tour 2026 once again highlights the important role of university–industry engagement in connecting academic learning with real-world practice. Such initiatives contribute not only to enhancing the quality of education but also to developing a generation of young professionals with the capabilities and adaptability needed for the modern workplace. They also provide an important foundation for VNUIS students to enter the labor market with stronger preparation and a clearer vision for their future careers.
