As part of its efforts to strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world industry practice, on the morning of April 8, 2026, more than 100 students from the Financial Technology and Digital Business (FDB) program participated in a company visit and experiential learning program at 1Matrix, a pioneering provider of blockchain solutions in Vietnam.
Held under the theme “An Overview of Blockchain, Crypto Assets, and Career Development Opportunities,” the program provided students with an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into real-world issues and developments in the industry, extending their learning beyond theoretical knowledge.
Opening the program, Ms. Do Thi Thu Ha provided an overview of Vietnam’s blockchain ecosystem and highlighted 1Matrix’s role in promoting “Make in Vietnam” technology solutions, contributing to the country’s broader digital transformation efforts.
A key highlight of the program was an in-depth presentation by Mr. Nguyen The Bao on “An Overview of Blockchain and Decoding Scams in the 5.0 Era.” The session not only helped students gain a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of blockchain technology but also offered practical perspectives on potential risks in the crypto asset market. Through specific examples from Vietnam and around the world, students gained a greater awareness of the importance of acquiring relevant knowledge, developing critical thinking, and exercising caution when engaging with this rapidly evolving field.
The program continued with a panel discussion featuring industry experts, who examined the current landscape and development potential of blockchain, as well as career opportunities for students pursuing careers in finance and banking. The speakers also shared practical experiences and highlighted potential “career traps” that newcomers may encounter, helping students develop a clearer and more realistic perspective when considering their future career paths.
As part of the program, students also had the opportunity to explore an exhibition area featuring models and practical applications of blockchain technology. This hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, making complex and abstract technological concepts more tangible and accessible to students.
The visit not only enriched students’ professional knowledge but also broadened their understanding of a rapidly developing field that presents both significant opportunities and considerable challenges. Direct exposure to the business environment and first-hand insights from industry experts helped students develop a more informed understanding of blockchain and its applications, enabling them to take a more proactive approach to shaping their future career pathways.
