From March 7th to 8th, 2024, at Cardiff Metropolitan University (CardiffMet) in Wales, United Kingdom, the launch event for the EQUIP project toolkit was organized. Dr. Tran Duc Quynh – Head of the Training Department and Dr. Truong Cong Doan – Head of the Management Information Systems department, representing the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, attended the program.

On March 7th, 2024, representatives from Cardiff Metropolitan University introduced their member institutions, opportunities for student exchange, research collaboration, and joint projects. Representatives from Vietnamese universities expressed readiness for collaboration, especially the International School, which has many international students and is implementing programs entirely in English. They are also very willing to exchange and collaborate with Cardiff Metropolitan University.

On March 8th, 2024, the launch event for the EQUIP project toolkit took place. EQUIP (Enabling an environment of Quality for International HE Partnerships between the UK and Vietnam) is a project implemented since January 2022, part of the “Going Global Partnership Programme” sponsored by the British Council. The EQUIP project focuses on university and post-university programs related to artificial intelligence, computer science, and information technology. The toolkit includes various reports, methodologies, and images related to workshops in Vietnam organized by EQUIP. The project’s website (https://www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/international/global-outreach-projects/EQUIP/Pages/objective-6-toolkit-resources.aspx) has been published online for educational institutions to reference during the toolkit utilization process.

Representatives from CardiffMet University also introduced research labs, research centers, research products, and infrastructure facilities to Vietnamese representatives. CardiffMet University is one of the universities with excellent facilities, investing in many strong research groups and laboratories such as intelligent systems, data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics, applying artificial intelligence in management. On the International School side, with strong research potential and many interdisciplinary scientific research groups, they are ready to collaborate with the School of Technology at CardiffMet University.

The EQUIP project is considered a bridge for educational cooperation between the United Kingdom and Vietnam. Through this project, it opens up numerous potential collaborations between the two sides in research, projects, and student exchanges in the coming time.
