Especially in the second Vietnam Symposium in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Innovative, the issue of “green finance” garnered significant attention. A few years ago, the concept of green finance was relatively new to Vietnam’s economy. However, in the context of global climate change and being among the countries with the highest pollution levels, Vietnam is increasingly concerned about this issue. It is seen as a vital solution contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.
Dr. Pham Thu Phuong from Curtin University, Australia, spoke at the symposium.
Prof. Iftekhar Hasan from Fordham University, USA, and editor of the Financial Stability journal was the keynote speaker at the symposium.
Students from International School-VNU presented in parallel discussion sessions.
Moreover, attendees listened to valuable insights from business experts on the standards for measuring sustainability development factors and the impact of enterprises on communities (ESG) during roundtable discussions. Experts unanimously believed that many businesses have now oriented their operations to create sustainable value, from the environment, employee engagement, partnerships, to social impact. The measure of a company’s success now includes ESG factors.
